Adelia Munshower, 88, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, surrounded by her family.
Dee was born Feb. 6, 1924, the middle daughter of William and Mary (Collins) Eby. Dee was a life-long resident of Bellevue, graduating from York High School in 1941. She worked a variety of jobs, however, the most life-changing was waitressing where she met her loving husband, Bill.
Dee loved crossword puzzles, crocheting, collecting hens and roosters, and baking. Her grandchildren looked forward to tubs of ‘Grammie’s Famous Sugar Cookies’ at holidays. Dee loved to crochet and made many gift blankets and slippers.
She will be deeply missed by her large family; sisters, Winifred Strauss and Ada (Elson) Benfer; daughter, Karen Mancuso; son, William L. Munshower Jr.; grandchildren, Michelle Mancuso, Carlo (Jenni) Mancuso, Daniel (Carrie) Mancuso, Toni Kuluris, and Stephen Mancuso; step grandchildren, Mike (Renee) Bodine and Laura (Daniel) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Corey, Kristina, Tyler, Gus, Collin, Austin, Justin, Grace, Anthony, Isabella, and Kayla; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William L. Munshower Sr.; son-in-law, Dr. Augustine D. Mancuso; granddaughter, DeeAnn Mancuso; brother, John Eby; brother-in-law, Arthur Strauss; and step daughter, Katy Jane.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, with Eastern Star Services at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Bellevue. Rev. Dr. Diane Carter will officiate, and burial will follow in MeadowGreen Memorial Park in Huron.
