Adeline L. Brady, 84, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, in Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, surrounded by her loving family.
Adeline was born on July 3, 1928, in Coello, Ill., the daughter of John and Mary (Baldassar) Ratt. On Oct. 16, 1954, in Port Clinton, she married Leroy A. Brady and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Adeline was an application clerk for Ohio Edison for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was a communion distributor and worked at bingo. Adeline was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Port Clinton Moose Lodge 281, a volunteer at Magruder Hospital and life member of the Magruder Hospital auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, crocheting and was famous for her yearly Christmas Torts. Adeline will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her son, John A. (Sondra Fandrich) Brady of Port Clinton; daughter, Sue (James) Hefflinger of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Jason (Cortnie) Hefflinger, Jami Hefflinger and Benjamin Brady; and three great-grandchildren.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Celeste Hauck and Anne Parks; and grandson, Jacob Hefflinger.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton. Family prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the funeral home, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. The Rev. John Missler officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial donations in memory of Adeline may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculate Conception School Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
