Nancy A. (Pruitt) Keene, 64, of Sandusky, passed away on Friday evening, Nov. 16, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born on April 22, 1948, in Coeburn, Va., to James and Faye (Stanley) Pruitt.
Nancy moved to Ohio in 1954, and graduated from Perkins High School. She worked most of her life as a nurse’s aide before retiring in 2010. She was also a hostess at Burger King. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Mary Febbo, and Kelley (Dennis) Tschudi, both of Sandusky; brothers and sisters, Mary (Cecil) Barrett of Six Lakes, Mich., James (Charlotte) Pruitt, and John Pruitt, both of Sandusky, Gary (Robin) Pruitt of Mansfield, and Candy Sullivan of Sandusky; grandchildren, Abby Febbo, Courtney Febbo, Devin Keene, and Dakotah Tschudi; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Smith, Aubreyelle Smith, and Alexis Febbo; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Chuck Sullivan.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. At Nancy’s request, cremation will take place after visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the family.
