Kathleen Marie “Kay” (Flynn) Waldock, age 89, of Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, Nov. 13, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Menominee, Mich., to William Leo and Cora (Nesbitt) Flynn. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society, and the Sandusky Yacht Club. She was a volunteer at Providence Hospital for 28 years and an active bridge player. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Susan K. (Duane) Galloway of Sandusky; her son, Timothy Lee (Mary Jo) Waldock of Toledo; and five grandchildren, Laura, Dan, Sean, Kelly and Katie.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband in 2008, Austin E. “Doc” Waldock; a grandson, Michael Sean Galloway; her sister, Rosemary Oudeans; and three brothers, John, William, and Edward Flynn.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayer services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery, Castalia.
