Eric Perry Jensen, 67, of Toledo, died Tuesday Nov. 6, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1945, in Sandusky, to Paul and Jean (Perry) Jensen. A 1963 graduate of Sandusky High School, he went on to receive his B.S. degree in comprehensive sciences from Miami University of Ohio as well as his M.Ed. in curriculum supervision from Miami University of Ohio. Eric taught sciences in Prague Czech Republic for two years, Lima Catholic High School for 13 years, St. John Jesuit High School from 1985-2007 and Monroe Community College for 12 years.
He enjoyed fishing in Lake Erie and was recently featured in the Toledo Blade for his intricate handcrafted woodworking and designer chess sets. He was a nature and animal lover at heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Jensen.
Surviving iswife of 44 years, Kathleen M. (Schemmer) Jensen, of Toledo; son, Dana E. (Leslie) Jensen, working in Pakistan; daughters, Kerry (Todd) (Jensen) Trautman, of Findlay, Ohio, and Erika Jensen, of Los Angeles; his mother, Jean (Perry) Jensen, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Gabriel Trautman, Maya Trautman, Benjamin Trautman, Henry Trautman, Julia Trautman and Taylor Jensen; and brother, Michael (Evelyn) Jensen, of Scottsdale, Ariz.
A Memorial Service is to be scheduled in the spring.
Memorial donations are suggested to Natures Nursery of Whitehouse, Ohio.
