Shirley Jane Meggitt, 73, of Norwalk, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 5, 2012, in Cleveland Clinic.
She was born Sept. 17, 1939, in Ashland, daughter of the late Edwin John Lindsey and Blanche Lucille (Harry) Lindsey. She was a 1957 graduate of Loudonville High School and was active with Milan Baptist Church.
She was married in 1960 to Richard Dean Meggitt and raised four loving children.
She enjoyed traveling to Amish country and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard, of Norwalk; children, Brian Meggitt, Monica (Bob) Denslow, Erica (John) Stidham and Rachel (David) Smith, all of Huron; grandchildren, Andrew and Christopher Denslow, Caleb Stidham and Jack and Evan Smith; and sisters, Sandy and Evelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Bruce.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday , Nov. 9, at Milan Baptist Church, 5199 Old State Road, Milan. Pastor Rod Hollen will officiate. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
