Joseph Martin Benedict Orihel, 51, of Sandusky, die Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in Erie County Care Facility, after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 1, 1961, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, and was a 1979 graduate of Perkins High School. He was employed by Care & Share.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, and chess.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Stella (Bly) Orihel; sisters, Joy Orihel, Therese Brock and Mary Smith; brothers, Vince Orihel and Tom Orihel; stepchildren; stepgrandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean (Petelle) Orihel; and a sister, Rebecca Pitcher.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate.
