Janice F. Kenne, 74, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 4, 2012, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1937, in Sandusky, the daughter of Eugene Rolland and Clara Ida (Wagner) Bertsch. She was a 1955 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Janice had worked in the billing department at Good Samaritan Hospital (later Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus) for 40 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and her “Retiree” friends. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Matthew T. (Linda) Kenne of Holly Springs, N.C.; five grandchildren, Allison, Leah, Zachary, Alex and Madison; daughter-in-law, Penny Kenne of Sandusky; brother, Rolland (Lila) Bertsch of Sandusky; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas J. Kenne on August 26, 2002; son, Christopher E. “Chris” Kenne on January 25, 2008.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the funeral home. Rev. John Mawhirter officiating. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Sandusky.
