Joyce L. Heinzerling, 54, of Sandusky, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 4, 2012, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 1, 1958, in Akron, Ohio, moved to the Sandusky are in 1965, and was a 1978 graduate of Sandusky High School. Joyce was employed at the East Side Café, and prior to that she worked for many years at Periodical Publishers’ Service Bureau, Inc. She enjoyed bowling, and was a true animal lover.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Brian J. Heinzerling; father, James R. Huth of Ocala, Fla.; father-in-law, John Heinzerling of Castalia; two sisters-in-law, Jan (Keith) Good of Sandusky, and Christine S. Huth of Tiffin; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mondella J. Huth in 1992; two brothers, Patrick J. Huth in 2000, Michael J. Huth in 2003; and mother-in-law, Phyllis Heinzerling in 1999.
Her family will receive friends 3-4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A memorial service will follow at 4:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate.
