Joel Thomas Paul, 29, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.
He was born Feb. 8, 1983, in Sandusky and was a 2001 graduate of Margaretta High School. Joel had an associates degree from Terra Community College, with double majors in business administration and sociology. He was employed at Bassett’s Market in Ottawa County and also worked for several years at the Bay View Center.
Joel was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Dorene (Orshoski) Paul; two sisters, Melanie and Denise Paul; two nephews, Caleb and Ty; his goddaughter, Addie Lynn; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Joyce Orshoski and John and Linda Paul, and a stepgrandmother, Marilyn Paul.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, until funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Eagles Nest Church, 2126 Pipe St., Sandusky. The Revs. Darrell Gant and Gene T. Paul will officiate. Private committal services will take place at Perkins Cemetery.
