Eric Anthony Pressley, 29, of Sandusky, departed this life early Sunday morning, Oct. 28, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Dec. 21, 1982, in Sandusky, to Eric Pressley and Debra Shine. Eric was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Elder Johnnie Cross, and was later led back to Christ by Elder Luther McGee.
He was employed by Frisch’s Restaurant and Fremont Plastics.
Eric was very loving and giving. He enjoyed spending time with his children, and made many friends. He had a selfless and compassionate heart – putting others’ needs ahead of his own.
Eric leaves to cherish his memory his parents; sons, Anthony Pressley and Camryn Jess; daughter, Annallyse Pressley; fiancée, Marla Jess; brothers, Orlando Pressley and Glenn Redding; niece, Amani Pressley; special aunt, Kathy Hunter; grandparents, Tannie and Louise Shine; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Cora Shine; and paternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Dorothy Pressley.
Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Porter’s Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1722 Third St., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. at the church, Elder Luther McGee will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
