Bessie Putnam, 87, of Sandusky, died early Friday morning, Oct. 26, 2012, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 9, 1925, in London, England, and came to the United State in the 1960s. Bessie became a U.S. citizen in July 1995.
She is survived by three sons, Dan (Sue) Stalhom, of Bekenhom Kent, England, Tim (Caroline) Putnam Sr., of Norwalk, and Brain (Marlene) Putnam, of Bellevue; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Putnam in 1976; her parents, Arthur and Violet (Morris) Skinner; and five sisters.
At the request of the deceased, cremation has taken place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
