Robert C. Fisher, 94, of Huron, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Facility, Sandusky.
He was born June 28, 1918, in Mansfield, Ohio, and moved to Huron in 1964 coming from Toledo.
Bob owned and operated Fisher Hearing Aid Center, Sandusky, for 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, Pacific Combat Infantryman and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal serving in the Leyte of Philippines and Okinawa with three Bronze Battle Stars.
He was a member of American Legion Post 83, Sandusky, Huron FOE 2875, and The Chapel, Sandusky.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elaine D. (White); two daughters, Kim E. (Peter) McQuillen, of Huron, and Kris E. (Aaron) Clements, of Roseville, Calif.; three sons, Stephen R. (Beth) Fisher, of Huron, Michael R. (Kris) Fisher, of Milan, and Joseph P. (Lisa) Fisher, of Huron; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred F. and Bess M. (Schwab) Fisher.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, and from 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, until services at noon, at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. The Rev. Dave Brown will officiate. Cremation will take place and a private interment will be at Scott Cemetery, Huron.
