Stella M. Claus, 61, of Monroeville, died Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 19, 1950, in Norwalk, and was employed at Norwalk Furniture for 35 years, retiring in 2004.
Stella was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the sewing circle. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Stella enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, playing dartball, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Brian C. Claus; three sons, Joseph (Jenny) Claus of Willard, Michael Claus of Monroeville and Benjamin Claus of Mobile, Ala.; two grandchildren, Beth and Andrew Claus; four brothers, David (Marjorie) Knoll, Edward (Shirley) Knoll, both of Norwalk, James (Joan) Knoll of Milan, Andrew (Sue) Knoll of North Fairfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Constance (Boose) Knoll Jr.
Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 Broad Street, Monroeville. The Rev. Dr. Amy C. Little will officiate.
