Mary P Link, 64, of Sandusky, died Saturday morning, Oct. 13, 2012, at Shepherdsville, Ky., while visiting family. She was a beloved sister, sister-in-Law, aunt, great-aunt, and godmother, and a great friend to many.
She was born Jan. 17, 1948, in Sandusky, was a 1966 graduate of Margaretta High School, and a 1968 graduate of Davis Business College. She was employed by Citizens Bank for 33 years, and retired in 2010 from Elyria Hyundai.
She attended Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church for most of her life, and for the last eight years attended The Chapel in Sandusky. She loved Indians baseball, camping with family, reading books, collecting snowmen and Precious Moments, bowling in the Scott Paper league, and traveling with the Senior Citizens and Ford Retirees to different locals in the U.S.
She was very family oriented and she loved and lived for her family, enjoyed family trips, and in 1982 went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
Mary is survived by her sister, Sharon M. Wilson, of Sandusky; sister-in-law, JoAnn (Neill) Link, of Sandusky; nephews, Ron (Sandy) Link and James Spears; nieces, Mari (Spears) “JJ” Welty (goddaughter), Bambi (Robert) Link, Kristy (Link) Rich and Jennifer (Mike) Gast; great-nieces and nephews, Chelsea (Jason) Spears (goddaughter), Wyatt Welty, Zach Rich, Emilie Spears, Clay Welty, Brady Welty, Olivia Gast, Mike Link, Triston Link, Kaden Sas and Natalee Gast: and many more cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Ilene (Wiswell) Link; and brothers, Donald H., Ronald H., and Edward A. Link.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. The Rev. Dave Brown will officiate. Burial will be Meadow Green Memorial Park.
