Fredrick W. Ringle

Fredrick W. “Fred” Ringle, 76, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 9, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born June 17, 1936, in Vickery, son of the late Edward J. Ringle and Caroline (Faulhaber) Hock. Fred retired after 50 years of dedicated service as a mason worker, and was self-employed as owner of R & R Concrete.
Fred was an avid hunter. He loved to coon hunt, fish, play golf and poker, tell stories and reminisce. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.
Fred is survived by his loving companion, Marcia Pavia, of Sandusky; two daughters, Pamela (Steve) Paulsen, of Virginia, and Kathy (Ralph) Dauwens, of Virginia; one son, Jeffrey Ringle; two stepsons, James (Lisa) Pavia Sr., of Sandusky, and Philip Pavia Jr., of Sandusky; two stepgrandchildren, Tiffani (Robert) de Roziere, of Cincinnati, and James Pavia Jr., of Sandusky; one stepgreat-grandson, Calvin de Roziere, of Cincinnati; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert (Judy) Ringle, of Sandusky, Eugene Ringle, of Sandusky, and Edward Ringle Malone, of Marion, Ohio; two sisters, Virginia (Ringle) Hastings, of Sandusky, and Marilyn (Ringle) Mischler, of Sandusky; many nieces, nephews and cousins; close nephews, Jeffrey Ringle, Dean Stout and Paul Matthews, all of Sandusky; and close friends, Dewey Sibert and Bill Tigges, of Sandusky.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert L. Ringle and James M. Faulhaber; and one sister, Martha A. (Faulhaber) Boyle.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, until funeral services at 4 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Eric Mueller will preside.
