L. Elizabeth (Zinser) Birr, 89, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in the Willows at Bellevue.
She was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Enid, Okla., daughter of the late Arthur and Lucile (Williams) Zinser. Elizabeth was a secretary and telegrapher for the U.S. Air Force and a homemaker.
She married her husband, Robert Birr, on Aug. 4, 1946, in Enid, and he survives in Bellevue.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue; Lyme Historic Society; Town & Country Theater; loved music and was an accomplished violin and viola player; and enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; son, James E. Birr, of Florissant, Mo.; daughter, Janice E. Maguire, of Florissant, Mo.; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and her brother, Benjamin Zinser, of Long Beach, Calif.
Friends will be received 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Private funeral services will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 231 Southwest St., Bellevue. Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetery.
