Faye Caroline (Clark) Lemon, 60, of Sandusky and formerly Gary, Ind., departed this life for a life with the Lord, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, after a lengthy illness. May God grant her eternal rest.
She was the second child born to James Clark Sr. and Allie Kate Crocker-Clark on Jan. 6, 1949, in Meridian, Miss.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Wayne Lemon; son, Phillip Lemon; granddaughter, Nakeisha Lemon; great-grandchildren, Jalen and Yolanda Zimmerman and Amere Hahn, all of Sandusky; father, James Clark Sr. of Meridian; brothers, James Clark Jr. of New York City, Willie (Birdie) Clark of Marshall, Texas, and Michael Clark of Los Angeles; aunts, Arlean Crocker of Gary and Mattie Clark of Sandusky; special sisters, Vicky Houston ofMerrillville, Ind., and Carmen Crocker of Gary; best friend, Martha White of Meridian; special friends, Geraldine Davis of Florida and Jewel Scott of Gary; many first cousins in Gary and Sandusky; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Yolanda Renee Clark; mother, Allie Kate Clark; grandparents; and uncles, Ernest "Sonny" Crocker Sr. and Willie Clark.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. today until funeral services at2 p.m. in Holy Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 810 W. 8th Ave., Gary; the Rev. Fuller will officiate. Interment is in Oak Hill Cemetery.
