C. Edward Seder, 68, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., went home to be with the Lord May 3, 2010, after a five-year battle with cancer.
Ed was born in Pennsylvania then moved to Ohio. He graduated from Huron High School and then joined the Marine Corps. He received his early police training in the Marines.
When his term of service was over, he joined the police force in his hometown. Ed went to Prescott Valley in January 1984 and retired as the community police chief in 2000.
He served on the town council from 2002-08 and most recently was the Administrator of Justice Program Coordinator for Yavapai College.
Ed had a strong faith in God and taught adult Sunday school at Willow Hills Baptist Church.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; a daughter, Necole; a son, Ed; two stepdaughters, Stacey and Rebecca; five grandchildren; sister, Thelma Zoellner of Sandusky; and a brother, William (Soni) Seder.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ruby Seder.
Memorial services were May 6, 2010, in Prescott Valley.
