Lois Helen Pahl passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, after a brief illness.
She was bornAug. 23, 1919, in Lorain, to Roy and Elizabeth Bender. She was an honor graduate of Lorain Senior High School. She marriedJames Pahl in 1940 and raised fourchildren. The family moved from Elyria to Sandusky in 1957. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Peterson Lumber Co. and Brennan Enterprises.
She enjoyed playing bridge,gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also looked forward to socializing with her sister-in-law and a close circle of friends.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffry (Sharon) Pahl of Huron,William (Tammy) Pahl of Sanduskyand Gary (Ellen) Pahl ofCoopersburg, Pa.; sister, PatHumphreville of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Vivian Pahl of Elyria; five grandchildren, Staci Pahl of Sandusky,Stefanie Pahl of Roaming Shores, Jeremy and Casey Pahl ofCoopersburg, Pa., Michelle (Geno) Kubitz of Sandusky; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by close family relatives living in Elyria and Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pahl in 1998; daughter, Sandra Pahl in 2001; and her parents.
There will be no visitation. Aprivate family service will be later.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children'sHospital or to one's favorite charity.
