Frank A. “Choc” Fedele Sr., 91, of Huron, passed away early Wednesday morning, Oct. 3, 2012, in Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk.
Frank was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Huron, son of the late James and Anna Fedele. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country from 1942-45. He retired from Norfolk-Western after being employed for 36 years as a car inspector.
Frank was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and in his spare time enjoyed working outside, loved his garden, and spending time with his family.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank Fedele Jr.; two grandchildren, Kaz Fedele and Coty Harp; one great-grandson, Ryker Harp; three sisters, Angie Rocco, Katherine Iannino and Josephine Fedele; one brother, Louis Fedele; a special niece, Deborah Manner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine (Browning) Fedele, in 1993; his parents; his two brothers, Joseph, and Andrew Fedele; and one sister, Mary Severind.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 E. Bogart Road, Huron. The Rev. Jeff Sikorski, of St. Peters’ Catholic Church, Huron, will officiate. Entombment will follow services.
