Howard “Lee” Drennen, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Saturday evening, Sept. 22, 2012, in his residence.
Howard was born in West Virginia to Monte and Gladys (Preast) Drennen.
He was known to many as “The Sewing Machine Man.” For many years he ran his own business of selling and repairing sewing machines. Through this business, he met many people who started as customers but grew to be friends. In his spare time he loved to golf, fish, hunt, and work in his garden.
Howard is survived by his daughter Theresa A. (Al) Klontz of Sandusky; his special friend Betty Burns; and many life-long friends.
Including his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Stuckey) Drennen.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Burial will immediately follow the service in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
