Dorothy C. (Whetstone) Ebeling, 66, residing in Sandusky, went with the Lord early Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 9, 1946, in Sandusky, to Walter Whetstone and Dorothy (Rhonehouse) Whetstone-Minard.
Dorothy worked for Steirhoff Brothers, the former Betchel-McLaughlin, and Able Plastics for many years. In her spare time, Dorothy loved to dance, sew, cook, and garden with her pal, Butch. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her five loving children; four daughters, Theresa (Rick) Ferdinandsen of Sandusky, Tammy (Richard) Clem of Port Clinton, Tracy (Steve) Petrick of Sandusky, Tonya (Ryan) Leal of Sandusky; one son, Larry Ebeling (Fallon Weaver) of Sandusky; 12 grandsons; three granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Florence Stierhoff of Sandusky, Linda (Lloyd) Pitsenbarger of Huron; her pal, Richard (Butch) Marko of Huron; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Including her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry R. Ebeling; one grandson, Tyler Tuttle; two sisters, Marilyn Whetstone, Margaret Tippie; and two brothers, Fredrick Whetstone, and Walter Whetstone.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins, Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, with Pastor Wally Gilbert of North Pointe Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
