Donna J. Maschari, 62, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, Sept. 21, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Donna was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Donald and Roxie (Wagner) Thatcher. She was employed at the Arthur Corporation in Huron, and formerly was employed at Foster Grant Plastic Plant in Sandusky.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Donna is survived by her husband, Terry D. Zavala, whom she married July 6, 2005; two sons, Todd Maschari and Mark Maschari, of Sandusky; four grandchildren; one sister, Sandra (Dale) Mullins, of Sandusky; two brothers, Dan Thatcher, of Clyde, and David (Rosemary) Thatcher, of Sandusky; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
There will be no visitation. Private family services will take place at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, is assisting the family with arrangements.
