Barbara Ann Bubacz, 62, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. Barbara recently moved to Papillion, Neb., with her daughter and family to be with her grandchildren.
She was born July 31, 1950, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Raymond Stanley and Ruby Stanley Grossenbacher. She was a graduate of Huron High School. Barbara retired Aug. 1, 2012, from Wake Forest Baptist Health as a patient services co-ordinator at Comp Rehab, where her co-workers were more like family and friends.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, friends and family and reading, taking walks and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Bubacz; daughter, Beth Bubacz Nichols and husband, Isham, of Papillion; son, Bryan Bubacz, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; sister, Judy Blankenship, of Frederick, Md.; and three grandchildren, Morgan Thompson, Tucker Bubacz and Robbie Nichols, all of Papillion. She is also survived by five nieces and their families: Kim Yocklin, Lisa Schenk, Teresa Bohrer, Diane McEndree, and Jennifer Blankenship.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in-law, Lenzie Blankenship.
The family will receive friends and family 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, followed by burial in Scott Cemetery, Huron. The Rev. Roger Skelley-Watts will officiate.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alegent Health at Home Hospice, 810 N. 96th St., Ste. 201, Omaha, NE 68114, in memory of Barbara Bubacz.
