Margaret Catherine (Lytle) Chamberlain, 91, passed away peacefully of natural causes Dec. 30, 2008, in Stein HospiceCare Center, Sandusky.
Margaret was born March 20, 1917, in Columbus. She attended Holy Rosary High School where she met her future husband, George Victor "Vic" Chamberlain at a high school basketball game. After graduating from high school in 1936, she worked for a time in the accountingdepartment of the local phone company before marrying Vic, Feb. 27, 1945, and then moved to Sandusky.
While her husband worked on the lakes and oceans of the world, Margaret devoted her time to raising her two sons and to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Margaret and Vic were married 63 years. They lived and raised their family in Sandusky for the remainder of their lives. She touched all who knew her with her kindness and sweet nature.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, who passed Aug. 8, 2008.
She is survived by her sons, Charles F. Chamberlain and wife, Bessie Lee, of Dillon Beach, Calif., and David L. Chamberlain; granddaughter, Circe A. LeNoble; and great-granddaughter, Savannah G. LeNoble of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
