Theresa Rose Baptista, age 88, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in the Bellevue Care Center.
She was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Bellevue, the daughter of Sam and Josephine (Giammo) Baptista.
Theresa retired from General Electric Bellevue Lamp Plant after 39 years. She was a 1943 graduate of Bellevue High School, a member of Immaculate Conception Church, its Altar Rosary Society, and the former Club-Ameri-Ital. Theresa enjoyed bowling and was a volunteer for many years at the Immaculate School cafeteria.
She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; her brothers, Sam Baptista, Charlie Baptista, William Baptista; and sisters, Teresa Baptista and Flossie Laviola preceded her in death.
Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will be in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
