Irma M. Evans, 84, of Monroeville, passed away late Saturday evening, Dec. 27, 2008, in Admiral’s Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Huron, after a brief illness.
She was born March 31, 1924, in Cleveland, and was a 1942 graduate of Monroeville High School. She retired from Faulhaber’s where she worked for many years. She was an avid walker and loved her nieces and nephews and her cat. She was a member of Monroeville United Church of Christ, Norwalk Eagles, the Senior Center of Huron County and the Golden Agers.
She is survived by her brother, Edwin “Nelson” Evans of Columbus; niece, Diana (Bob) Vance of Columbus; nephew, David (Lynda) Evans of Sandusky; great-niece, Tracy Evans of Sandusky; great-nephews, Robert and Joshua Vance of Columbus; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Esther (Richards) Evans; and two brothers, Raymond and Richard Evans.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Wayne C. Chasney will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
