Clinton W. Longnecker, 79, of Sandusky, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 25, 2008, inFirelands Regional Medical Center, South Campus, Sandusky.
He was born April 19, 1929, in Castalia, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2529, Sandusky. He was a30-year employee of Farrell-Cheek Steel Co., and prior to this had been employed by Medusa Cement Co.
He is survived by threedaughters, Judy (Charles)Zimmerman of Cincinnati, Debora (Carlton) Seville of Sandusky and Lori (Donald) Sprouse ofSandusky; three sons, TerryLongnecker of Sandusky, Timothy(Pat) Longnecker of Vickery and Jay (Jackie) Longnecker ofSandusky; eight grand-children,Christopher W., Penny,Christopher M., Colleen, Heather, Nickolas, Charity, and Sarah; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Clinton was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, in 1997; parents, Henry and Flossie(Raymond) Longnecker; three brothers, Harold, Robert and Gene Longnecker; and sister, Mabel Longnecker.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Ulrich officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
