Paul Joseph Lucas, 75, ofMarblehead, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, athis residence.
He was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Marblehead, the son of Joseph D. and Mary H. (Kruchowsky) Lucas. On Nov. 12, 1966, in Sandusky, he married Annette Karen Coker and she survives.
Paul worked as a maintenance superintendent for ITT GrinnellFoundry in Statesboro, Ga., and spent many years working atSandusky International and Kelsey Hayes Foundry in Fremont. He was a member of St. Joseph CatholicChurch, Marblehead. He was a social member of VFW StanleyJadwisiak Post 7572, Marblehead,and a member of Knights of Columbus in Statesboro. Paul was an avid Notre Dame Fan. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Annette Karen Lucas of Marblehead; son, Daniel Michael Lucas of Statesboro; daughter, Anna Jean (Bruce) Trautmann of Lakewood, Ohio; son, Sgt. 1st Class Steven George Lucas, stationed in Colorado Springs and currentlyserving in Iraq; son, MajorJeffery Paul (Lenore) Lucas ofWest Point, N.Y.; grandchildren, Alyson, Lauren, Emily, Lindsay, Elizabeth and Kathleen; brother, Joseph Lucas of Marblehead; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandsons, Stephen KyleTrautmann and Jackson Bruce Trautmann; parents; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Lee Lucas andKathleen Mary Hallier.
Visitation will be 2-4 and6-8 p.m. Friday in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home &Crematory, Port Clinton. There will be additional visitation from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. inSt. Joseph Catholic Church,Marblehead, conducted by theRev. Dan Ring. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
