Ruth M. Dunlap, 87, of Sandusky, went to be at peace with her Maker early Friday morning, Sept. 14, 2012.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Gustav and Clara (Miller) Roehl. Ruth worked at the State Theater, Apex, and was a partner in Na-Ru Craft Shop. She also worked for American Greetings where she retired in 1990.
Ruth was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sandusky. In her spare time Ruth enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her son, Tim (Judy) Dunlap, of Monroevill; her adopted daughter, Lucinda; two grandchildren, Brad (Kari) Dunlap and Andy (Kristen) Dunlap; three great-grandchildren, McKenna, Brycen and Sean; and her nephew, Alan Roehl.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Dunlap in 1988; her parents; and her brother, Walter Roehl.
Friends will be received 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17. The Rev. James Michaels will officiate. Entombment will take place in Oakland Cemetery.
