VIVIAN RUTH HETER

Vivian Ruth Heter, 88, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 , at Orchard Grove in Bellevue.
She was born May 18, 1920, in Bellevue, daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian (Andrews) Mitchell. Vivian attended the former Bemis School, a one room schoolhouse, and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1938. She was a telephone operator for Northern Ohio Telephone. In 1947, she married Glen Heter, moved to York Township, and began her career of being a farm wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Vivian enjoyed her family, friends, bird and butterfly watching, and Fox News.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Robertson of Johnstown, Ohio, and Glenda (Tom) Beres of Norwalk; her grandson Alex (Jamie Johnson) Beres; and her step-grandson, Joseph M. (Jennifer Robertson) and his children, Hillary, Grace, Ava and Joseph Noah.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; parents; brothers, Earl and Robert Mitchell; and son-in-law, Joseph C. Robertson.
Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St. (Route 269 North), Bellevue. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue. Pastor Karen Kaye will officiate. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery.
