Evangeline Rose Reitz, 97, of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, in The Bellevue Hospital.
She was born Aug. 3, 1911. in Fremont, the daughter of the late John and Elva (Kohr) Keller.
Evangeline was a homemaker and longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. For many years she hung wallpaper in the Bellevue area.
Survivors include her son, Howard L. (Margie) Reitz of Clearwater, Fla.; grandson, Dana Reitz of Jackson, Wyo.; granddaughter, Colleen (Alfred) Holden of Clearwater; great-granddaughter, Jessica Adams; great-grandson, Avery Adams; nephew, Cloyce (Arlen) Druckenmiller of Fremont, who has been of great assistance to her since her husband’s death; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Albert J. Reitz, whom she married in 1939; two brothers, Clarence and Melvin Keller; and her sister, Geraldine Bliss, preceded her in death.
Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. Sunday in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday by Rev. Karen Kaye of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
