Judith "Judy" Fick, 64, of Port Clinton, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Matewan, W.Va.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Burlyn Fick, whom she married March 4, 1967; three children, Scott (Shari) Fick, Melinda (Chad) Stacy and Timothy Fick, all of Port Clinton; stepson, Thomas (Nan) Fick of Georgia; grandchildren, Mindy and Stephanie Fick, Jordan and Dylan Stacy, and Alex Fick; sisters, Lois (Eugene) Couture of Oak Harbor, Linda (Don) Wolf of Port Clinton and Sue (Dave) Fritz of St. Marys, Ohio; many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Winfield Spears and mother, Ruth "Old Nana" (Messner) Spears; brothers, William "Buddy" Spears and Larry Michael Spears; and niece, Tammy Couture.
Judy was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother (Nana). Her passion in life was her family, friends and their happiness. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was playing cards or helping with homework. Judy's love for people allowed her to be a successful Customer Service Manager at Wal-Mart for more than 15 years. She enjoyed every moment spent with others.
Judy was always putting others first, showing this even after death as an organ and tissue donor.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Wednesday until a memorial service at 5 p.m. at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton. Additional visitation will be after the service until 6 p.m. Family and friends are then invited to gather at Bay Township Hall for fellowship and refreshments.
