Ruth Shell, age 83, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Sept. 9, 2012, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 1, 1929, in Manchester, Ky., to Estill and Linda (Roberts) Gregory.
She was an active member of Freedom Christian Fellowship in Norwalk and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and church activities.
She is survived by her husband, Taft Shell of Norwalk; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jim Schwiefert of Sandusky; sister, Joyce Whitehead of Norwalk; brothers, Terry (Cora Mae) Gregory, and Ray Gregory, both of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters in infancy.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church, 4935 Ohio 601, Norwalk, Pastor Roy Harless officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
