Betty L. (Close) Lee, 87, of Lorain and formerly of Lakeland, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at her home in Lorain after a brief illness.
Mrs. Lee was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Bellevue, daughter of the late Carl and Lenore (Fredrick) Close. She had lived in Lorain for the past two years. She was a homemaker. She is a member of the FirstPresbyterian Church in Lakeland.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Norman Lee, son, Kenneth ((Bethelaine) Lee, and grandchildren, Jason and Vanessa, all of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Jim in infancy and Marvin in 1992; and brothers, Clair Close and Jimmy Close.
Services will be later and burial will be in Lay Cemetery, Adams Township near Clyde.
