Alice M. Moross, 78, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday evening, Nov. 23, 2008, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Sandusky, and was a 1948 graduate of Sandusky High School. She worked for more than 30 years for Ohio Bell Telephone Company, as a telephone operator, retiring in February 1979 and later worked at Cedar Point Amusement Park at Hotel Breakers as a switchboard operator for 16 years. Alice loved her music, especially her country music and she will always be remembered as being cheerful and very positive.
She is survived by her two sisters, Florence (Wheeler) Risner of Willard, and Sister Mary Kathleen Moross RSM of Oregon, Ohio; and a niece, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Irving andKatherine (Drewyor) Moross; sister, Virginia A. "Ginny" Pollard; and two brothers, Joseph C. and William C. Moross.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until prayers at 1 p.m. at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Christopher Kardzis will officiate.
Burial will be in St. JosephCemetery, Sandusky.
