Marilyn Klausing, 64, ofNorwalk, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a hard fought battle with cancer.
She was born March 29, 1944, in Fostoria, Ohio, and was a graduate of St. Wendelin Catholic High School. She was a secretary for many years, and lived in Auburn, Waterloo and Butler, Ind.
After the birth of their first son she and he husband moved from Auburn to Findlay, Ohio, and in 1975 moved to Norwalk.
She was a daycare provider and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was an avid euchre card player, collected Pepsi and antique Santa Claus memorabilia, and enjoyed the outdoors andshopping.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald Klausing ofNorwalk; sons, Doug (Jeni) Klausing of Defiance, Ohio, and Brad (Andrea) Klausing of Norwalk; daughter, Amy (Frank) Staley of Norwalk; nine grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Drew, Seth, Sara, Kade, Carter, Cohen and Chloe; and her mother, Clara (Goshe) Huss of Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Huss; sister, Sue Lonsway; brother, Ron Huss; and a nephew, Ron Huss Jr.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
