GEORGE B. ‘BRUCE’ SAVAGE III

George B. ‘Bruce’ Savage III, 68, of Marblehead, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, Nov. 19, 2008, in The Toledo Hospital.
He was born in Cambridge, Ohio, April 24, 1940. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. Bruce worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at East Harbor State Park for many years, before retiring.
He was an avid HAM radio operator and enjoyed spending time on his many computers. He was a life member of VFW Post 7572 of Marblehead, American Legion Post 83 and AMVETS Post 17, both of Sandusky, and member of Disabled American Veterans and Moose Lodge 1610 of Port Clinton.
He is survived by Kathleen F. Ulmer of Sandusky; daughter , Sharon (David) Ulmer of Sandusky; and grandchildren, Courtney and Christopher Ulmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Bruce and Helen Lucille (Jackson) Savage Jr..
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. At his request, cremation will follow the visitation. Private funeral services for his family will be at a later date. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery Columbarium, Sandusky.
