Inez V. (Casali) Ceccoli, 93, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, in Providence Care Center following a brief illness. She was known to many as “Aunt Inez”.
She was born May 9, 1915, on Kelley’s Island. She was employed at Barr Rubber for 15 years, and was co-owner/operator of Bob-A-Lou Skateland in Sandusky. Inez was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, I.A.B. Club, and enjoyed visits with her family, cooking Italian favorites and polka dancing.
Mrs. Ceccoli is survived by her brother, Frank D. (Joanne) Casali; brother-in-law, Harvey Dodge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Ceccoli, to whom she was married 57 years; parents, Dominic and Domenica (Filanti) Casali; three brothers, Primo, Mike and Leo Casali; and four sisters, Jane Samaritoni, Jean Dodge, Mary Egger and Anita Filipucci.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday in Groff Funeral Home,1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, with the Reverend Marty Nassr officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
