Edith J. Truman , 90, Sandusky, died early Tuesday afternoon,Nov. 11, 2008, in Parkvue Health Care Center following a briefillness.
She was bornJuly 27, 1918, in Spring Creek W.Va. She was employed by the PhilcoCompany until 1957, and was then a homemaker. She was a member of Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorena Lawrence of Sandusky; son, Timothy L. Truman ofSandusky; nine grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren;six great-great-grandchildren;sister,Elizabeth Hodge of Lewisburg, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Edith was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil E. Allman; second husband, Maurice E. Truman; two sons, Charles Everett Allman and Billy J. Allman; parents, Clarence W. and Cora J. (Honacker) Holliday; five sisters, Glenna Taylor, Evelyn White, Gladys Fowler, Anna Lyall and Reva Holliday; and two brothers, Donald and Clarence Holliday.
Friends may call from noon Friday until funeral services at1 p.m. in Groff Funeral Home,1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky; Pastor Bill Michaels of Parkvue will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
