Doris M. Neidler, 74, of Whites Landing, passed away Tuesday night, Nov. 11, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
She was born April 4, 1934, in Sandusky. She graduated from Townsend High School, was a member of Vickery UnitedMethodist Church and was a Whites Landing Community Hall Women's Auxiliary Sunshine Lady. Doris enjoyed growing flowers, playing cards with her family, and was a darn good cook. She was mom to six, but "Ma" to everyone else.
She is survived by herhusband Theodore Neidler, to whom she was married 56 years; three daughters, Patti (Jack) Miller, Beth (Dana) Osborne and Teresa (Bill) Miller; three sons, Rich Neidler, Denis Neidler and Jerry (Jackie) Neidler;11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron (Carol) Ray and Alton (Betty) Ray; sister, Shirley Vining; and several nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by two infant sons, Charles andTheodore Neidler Jr.; and herparents, Melvin and Hazel Ray.
Friends may call 2-4 and6-8 p.m. Friday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be at11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Washington St., Castalia; the Rev. David Klattenbach will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
