Corinne Lucille (Ross) Garner, age 86, of Milan, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Greenfield Township, Ohio. She lived in Wakeman for many years and moved to Milan in 1948. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Milan and The Chapel inSandusky. She was the formerresident and district manager of Lake Erie Chapter of the Ohio School Food Service Association. She was a food service supervisor for Berlin-Milan Schools for more than 20 years and Perkins Local Schools for six years, retiring in 1983.
She is survived by her companion, Alvin Wandersleben; two daughters, Karen (Thomas) Balch of Huron and Shirley (Matt) Stith of Milan; son, Roger (Jane) Garner of Collins; two grandchildren, Scott (Lori) Stith and Wendy (David) Stacey; three great-grandchildren, Mathew, Ronnie and Meghan; brother, Clair (Betty) Ross; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Garner, in 2000; parents, Victor and Bertha (Hall) Ross; sister, Ardeth Chupp; and brother, Glenn Ross.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Chapel,4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. The Rev. David Brown, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
