Donald James Gravenhorst, 47, of Monroeville died unexpectedly Monday evening, Nov. 3, 2008, in Canton, Ohio, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born June 4, 1961, in Sandusky, and was a 1979 graduate of Monroeville High School. Don was a member of Ohio Operating Engineers Union, Local 18, Cleveland, and had been working for All Crane Company. He was a social member of American Legion Post 547, Monroeville.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Gravenhorst and her mother, Anna Harmon, both of Monroeville; parents, John and Janet (Herner) Gravenhorst of Monroeville; brother, Steve (Nicki) Gravenhorst of Bellevue; sister, Debbie (Lew Sims) Gravenhorst of Willard; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Gravenhorst; grandparents; uncle, Howard Herner; and one nephew, Michael O’Bryan.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St., where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday; the Rev. Kenneth J. Lill will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
