Anna C. Wilhelm, 83, of Monroeville, died Friday morning, Oct. 17, 2008, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 24, 1925, in Seneca County, Ohio, and was a 1944 graduate of Attica High School. Anna was employed at Sutton Bank in Attica prior to her marriage. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, and the Altar & Rosary Society of the Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold A. ‘Shorty’ Wilhelm, whom she married Oct. 16, 1954; six children, Harold W. Wilhelm, Anna Marie (Ken) Bischoff and Donna (Tom) Scheid, all of Monroeville, Barb (Mike) Brown and Ed (Vickie) Wilhelm, both of Bellevue, and Marilyn (Brian) Watt of Monroeville; 17 grandchildren; brother, Cletus Alt of Bellevue; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Wilhelm; grandson, Mark Wilhelm; daughter-in-law, Mary T. Wilhelm; parents: Cletus and Anna (Kanney) Alt; four brothers, Carl, Leo, Justin and Mark Alt; and three sisters, Theresa Weidinger, Gertrude Klaiss and Mary Martin.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Sunday in Pfeil Funeral Home, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville, where Christian wake services will be at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel St., Monroeville; the Rev. Kenneth J. Lill and the Rev. Ken Alt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
