Judith A. Gittinger, 67, of Castalia, died Sept. 29, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Sandusky. She was employed by Infant Items and Areoquip, both of Fremont. Judith was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Milan; Moose Club of Fremont; Parents without Partners; and the Isaac Walton League of Fremont. She enjoyed shooting competitively at many matches, both locally and nationally.
Judith is survived by her daughters, Crystal Gittinger of Fremont and Colleen (Douglas) Volkert of Castalia; son, Curtis Gittinger of Fremont; six grandchildren; and a brother, Fred (Gerry) Lohmann of Monroeville.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gittinger; and her parents, Lawnie and Edith (Leber) Lohmann.
Friends may gather 6-8 p.m. Friday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 2712 W. Mason Road, Milan, where a memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Wendy Schindler-Chasney will officiate.
