Mildred M. "Millie" (Honenberger) Bergmoser, 97, of Sandusky, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, after a brief illness.
Mildred was born Aug. 15, 1911, to Charles and Ella (McMordic) Honenberger. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1929, and Women's Business School, Sandusky, in 1932. Mildred then married Paul Bergmoser, who preceded her in death on June 21, 1996. For 20 years she was associated with the Coffelt Candy Company at Cedar Point.
Mrs. Bergmoser was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sandusky. She was a member of the church choir, and was very involved in social activities. Mildred enjoyed playing cards, and especially loved participating in the Women's Pinochle Club. She loved singing and dancing, and was involved with musicals in her earlier years. She enjoyed knitting, and loved celebrating her birthday. She was appointed the Queen of Lutheran Memorial home in February 2007. Mildred volunteered and worked for the American Red Cross, and was a member of the Caldron-Singara Grotto.
Survivors include her son, Gary Bergmoser of Florida; sister-in-law and caregiver, Pat Bergmoser of Sandusky; brother-in-law, Don (Nair) Bergmoser of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, Charles and Ella (McMordic) Honenberger; and sister, Edith Knupke.
Private inurnment will take place at Oakland Cemetery.
