William O. Dickman, 75, of Huron, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in Concord Care Center of Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Sandusky and was a lifelong resident of the area. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, camping, playing cards, and outside decorating of his house for the different holidays and seasons. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, and was in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary E. (Sturbaum); three daughters, Annette (Steve) Conley, of Berlin Heights, Karen Kowalski, of Huron, and Tammy (Cliff) Prosek, of Mogadore, Ohio; four grandchildren, Richard Kowalski, of Camp LeJune, Andy Kowalski, Blake Prosek and Shawn Conley; two sisters, Barb (Ron) Brownell and Janet Anthos, of Sandusky; five brothers, Robert (Nancy) Dickman, of Castalia, Gary (Judy) Dickman, of Milan, Gordon Dickman, of Fremont, and Ronald and Richard (Linda), of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Eulalia (Buddenhagen) Dickman.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
