Lois Anne Nelda Lockwood, 86, of Norwalk, died Monday evening, Sept. 29, 2008, in Norwalk Memorial Home.
Lois was born June 7, 1922, in Berlin Heights, daughter of the late Samuel E. and Florence E. Swicker. She was a graduate of Milan High School. She was an avid bowler and sports fan. She enjoyed bowling in many Norwalk and Ohio tournaments. She was past president of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, a beautician and owner of the former Lockwood and Crown motels. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Norwalk.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Finnen of Norwalk; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton C. Lockwood, in 1987; infant son, Bobby; sisters, Margaret Burdge and Shirley Springer; and brothers, Eugene, George, Howard and Robert Swicker.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, and from 10 a.m. Friday until services at 11 in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 87 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Daniel Orr will officiate. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
