Myron was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, to Beryl and Lillian (Deininger) Schiller. He married Dora M. Bylow, June 9, 1951, in Toledo, and she survives.

He graduated early from Oak Harbor High School, Class of 1945, and joined the U.S. Navy where he served as electrician’s mate in the Pacific Fleet in Tokyo Bay. He then worked for Bussman Manufacturing before starting his own electrical and consulting firm, Nova Associates in Farmington Hills, Mich. He retired in 1993, and returned to the family farm which he lovingly restored; it was recently recognized as an Ohio Century Farm.

Myron was a founding member of United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills and served as building chairman and various leadership roles in finance, as trustee, and the Methodist Men. He was also a passionate advocate at the district and conference levels in increasing ministerial compensation. Myron most recently was a member of Trinity United Church in Christ in Elliston, Ohio.

In line with his spirit of giving, Myron was actively involved with the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, Ohio Reads at Carroll Elementary School, and Boy Scouts of America Troop 263. He was involved with the VFW Post 8732, John A. Fader American Legion Post 114 and the Ottawa County Farm Bureau.
